Toolbox Information Literacy
The Library has developed a ‘Toolbox Information Literacy’, which offers a variety of tools to teach students information literacy skills.
The toolbox is based on a 6-step model. Each step of the information literary process is described and contains tools, such as knowledge clips and quizzes. All tools focus on developing information skills, including:
formulating search questions
collecting the right search terms
selecting relevant resources
search methods
assessing/evaluating information
using & presenting information correctly (APA etc.)

BUas Create, a central hub for digital learning materials
Next academic year BUas will launch BUas Create, a central space designed to support the BUas community in sharing, using and re-using digital educational resources. The purpose of BUas Create is to promote cross-domain collaboration by providing round-the-clock access to a wide range of digital learning resources developed by both BUas educators and students. These materials include educational resources, educational research materials and innovative findings, and student-created content.
Sharing, using and re-using educational resources is essential for several reasons, including:
improving the quality of teaching and learning
saving time time and providing inspiration for course design and development
enhancing opportunities for cross-domain collaboration and co-creation
increasing your visibility and recognition as an expert
facilitating the sharing of educational innovation efforts (Scholarship of Teaching & Learning)
encouraging student engagement and ownership

NPuls OpenUp scheme & BUas Create project team
The BUas Create initiative is part of the NPuls OpenUp scheme, which supports senior secondary vocational education (MBO), universities of applied sciences (HBO) and research universities (WO) in advancing their goals regarding digital semi-open and open educational resources.
Within BUas, a project team is working on the completion of the BUas Create hub. This project team consists of colleagues from both education (AGM) and support staff (ERIM Library, Studio and ICT). The aim is to launch BUas Create in academic year 2025-2026.
