Making a direct quote and reference

In-text reference

Kar (2011) on the 4 P’s of Marketing states “this is one of the preliminary knowledge every marketer must have and is considered to be the basics of every marketing theory, which emerged henceforth”.

Author = A. Kar.

Count the words in the 2nd sentence = 25 words i.e. a small quote.

Direct = use the name of the author in the sentence.

Online resource without a page = no page number.


Reference list

Use the guidelines of a blog post for the reference list:

Author, Initials., Year. Title of individual blog entry. Blog title, [medium] Blog posting date. Available at: include web site address/URL (Uniform Resource Locator) [Accessed date].
