The Copyright Information Point (CIP) of BUas created a library guide to explain how to find and use multimedia sources without violating copyright.
Why?
Because every material is created by someone. And as soon as something is created it is automatically protected by copyright law.
The creator can be a person or for instance an organization, this does not make any difference. There is copyright on the material.
It also does not matter what kind of material it is. Copyright can be claimed on for example an article or a music video.
They are both protected by copyright law.
