Go via “Geoprocessing” in the menu bar to the “Intersect” option. A new window opens after clicking on it.
Select in “Input Features” the data that is going to be used for intersecting, so the information intersecting.
Lastly, change the name of the intersect by removing what is behind the last slash at “Output/Feature Class” and changing it into the desired new name. Afterwards, click on “OK”.
Finally, the “Output Type” is changed by selecting the type of the intersect in the bar of this name. It concerns lines or just points that overlap and that should be visible again. Click on “OK”.
In “Table of Contents” the new layer has been added. To see just the clip, delete the ticks at all the layers in “Table of Contents” except for the tick at the new layer.
