Carpe Diem Learning Design Methodology
A good way of creating fast, effective, forward looking learning design is to use a team-based learning design process called Carpe Diem. The idea behind Carpe Diem is that every moment of the time during the workshop is spent on designing something that can be put into immediate use with learners.
Design-Cyclus for Education (DC4E)
This model has primarily been created to support the shift from traditional face-to-face education to blended learning scenarios. The cycle describes eight steps that can be used iteratively in the (re)design of educational products and provides educators and course designers with a exible but clearly structured design model that enables them to reinvent traditional course content for blended learning with appropriate learning design tools.
Four-component instructional design (4C/ID)
A basic assumption of the 4C/ID model is that educational programs for complex learning can always be described in terms of four basic components, namely (a) learning tasks, (b) supportive information, (c) procedural information, and (d) part-task practice (see Figure below). Learning tasks provide the backbone of the educational program; they provide learning from varied experiences and explicitly aim at the transfer of learning. The three other components are connected to this backbone.

Laurillard conversational framework

These techniques presented in this ebook have multiple benefits: the instructor can easily and quickly assess if students have really mastered the material (and plan to dedicate more time to it, if necessary), and the process of measuring student understanding in many cases is also practice for the material—often students do not actually learn the material until asked to make use of it in assessments such as these. Finally, the very nature of these assessments drives interactivity and brings several benefits.

European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators: As the teaching professions face rapidly changing demands, educators require an increasingly broad and more sophisticated set of competences than before. In particular, the ubiquity of digital devices and the duty to help students become digitally competent requires educators to develop their own digital competence. On the international and national level a number of frameworks, self-assessment tools, and training programmes have been developed to describe the facets of digital competence for educators and to help them assess their competence, identify their training needs, and offer targeted training.
