Searching for books, theses, traineeship reports, dvd's en games from the collection of the Library
The UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) e-library is a database offering UNWTO publications on tourism. Also recommended for the latest statistical information on inbound, domestic and outbound tourism presented within the “Tourism statistics” section
Abbreviations used in UNWTO statistical overviews (Series column):
* TF = tourists at frontiers
* VF = visitors at frontiers
* TCE = international tourists at all forms of commercial accommodation
* THS = international tourists at hotels and similar establishments
* n = by nationality
* r = by country of residence
Google Scholar via Library website. After log in on BUAS network you will be recognized as BUAS student or employee and get optimal access to publications BUAS has payed for
Google Scholar is a specific part of Google that will search only in scientific hosts. When looking for a subject refine with the left menu of Scholar. Refining with recent years may be handy .
Use this link and you will get optimal access for articles the library has subscriptions to.
When a journal article is not available in the (online) library you can make a request for a copy of the article (also in pdf by mail).

Please note that the Metasearch engine does NOT cover all databases; especially the Dutch databases are currently not indexed.
The search functionality of the original source will be better than Metasearch. With the indexing to Metasearch some search functionality gets lost. Metasearch however is a good starting point when you don't know where to start with your topic.

When a book is not in the library collection you can make a request to borrow the book from another library in the Netherlands or you can ask the library to buy the book.
